Born and bred in New Jersey, K.O., along with John Robinson, gives the label [Shaman Work] another member from the tri-state area. K.O. began his career as a DJ at Rutgers University. In the fall of 2003, he moved on to promoting parties in New York City. It was here where he met many musicians who he would later collaborate with, giving K.O. the confidence that he could one day make a career in music. He used this momentum to his advantage, creating mixtapes
